Loomis resident, Karen Yacyshyn, approached her HOA regarding holding this benefit after becoming aware of the needs impacting the fire station that serves her community.  “Our son Eric was fortunate to spend time at the Penryn Fire Station during his senior year at Del Oro High School through ROP.  Our awareness was heightened to the effect that budget cuts have had on our local responding firefighters.”  Rudy Lapera, HOA Board member, is working alongside in this effort.  Karen and Rudy have been working with Brian Mancebo, Captain with the Penryn Fire Protection District and President of the Firefighters Association.

Frederick W. Penney Esq. has joined this benefit effort as well.  The Penryn fire station was dedicated to his father being named The Fred Penney Memorial Fire Station in early 2006.

“We felt that by sponsoring a spaghetti dinner for the Penryn Firefighter Association, our efforts would assist with the replacement of worn and worn out fire and rescue equipment. Proceeds will allow for the purchase of items that otherwise would not be possible due to the reduced budgets.”
